Pool is becoming more and more popular as more pubs get set up for this sport. Obviously our leagues go from strength to strength thanks to constant PR via the website, Ballsmania and national & local media as well as word of mouth by you, the teams within the league. This is why it is so important that you let myself, Dave Bennett-Bull or any committee member, know that you intend to enter a side and we will arrange a drop off or pick up point to hand in your forms and fees. Please remember that ALL PLAYERS MUST BE registered by the next meeting (March 21st) any players not registered as per the rules shall have their match play leg nullified, which could end up with your team forfeiting the match.

How many of your team members are versed in the Rules of the game? It would seem that most team members treat the rules akin to an instruction book of a new toy you've had for Christmas, you know the sort of thing I mean, " Awww I'll read that later... right now I just wanna play.." Its a darn good job you weren't given the pilot seat in the cockpit of the Red Arrows!
A good ninety percent of all queries, complaints, moan and groans are covered by the rules and would save many an antagonistic argument between two sides (albeit rare), if you'd have read them first maybe? It is always a good idea to keep a copy of the rules pinned up in your pub/club as a reference in order to satisfy any disagreement between two sides of these leagues of Gentlemen.
WHO ARE YOU?
With the league now being three divisions in length with approximately 10 players a team, it would be nice to get to put a face to the name and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to set up a profile page? So if you're not too shy (If you are then your team mates might do it for you, I wont be held responsible, but if its clean and in good humour, I'll publish it anyway, be dammed) So, come on guys an gals, a nice smile for the photo and a bit about yourself, the team you play for etc. humour is always welcome and especially if its banter about your team mates, the league, the committee (NOT ME!!) or even some of your opposition. Remember to take the profile page in the good humour its intended for, obviously with some facts to separate the fiction, and don't forget the photo, not too large mind, BIKINI SHOTS a bonus (show off them man boobs and beer belles.. oops, I meant barbells) so flex the Pecs and lets have some nice ones of the Gals too, e-mail to me at the addy below, first week goes on the news page then into storage on the profile page
